Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy
At Italian Diamond House, we stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, we offer a straightforward return policy subject to the terms below.
1. 30-Day Return Window
You have 30 days from the date your package was delivered to initiate a return or exchange. Items received after this 30-day window are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
2. Return Conditions
To qualify for a full refund or exchange, the item must meet the following criteria:
- Original Condition: The jewellery must be in its original, unworn, unused, and undamaged condition. It must show no signs of wear, scratches, scuffs, or alterations.
- Security Tags Attached: For rings and fine jewellery, all security tags, seals, or labels must remain uncut and fully intact. Removing, altering, or cutting the security tag will immediately void your eligibility for a return.
- Original Packaging: The item must be returned in its original jewellery box, pouch, protective packaging, and outer boxing.
3. Mandatory Diamond Certificates (IGI/GIA)
- The Certificate is Required: All diamonds (lab-grown or natural) of 0.3 carats or larger are delivered with an official grading report from the International Gemological Institute (IGI) or the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
- Missing Certificate Fee: The original grading certificate is an essential document that establishes the diamond's identity. If you return an item without the original, unaltered certificate, a replacement fee of $250 USD (or local currency equivalent) will be deducted from your refund to cover the cost of re-certification and shipping. Alternatively, we reserve the right to refuse the return.
4. Policy Exclusions (Final Sale Items)
The following items are strictly non-refundable and cannot be returned, exchanged, or cancelled (after production begins):
- Custom-Made & Bespoke Jewellery: Jewellery created to your custom specifications, including customized metal choices, custom mounts, custom sizes, or stone upgrades.
- Engraved Jewellery: Any jewellery piece that has been personalized with custom engraving.
- Third-Party Alterations: Any jewellery that has been resized, repaired, polished, or otherwise altered by a local or third-party jeweller voids this policy.
- Promo/Clearance Items: Items marked as "Final Sale" or purchased during specific clearing promotions.
5. Return Shipping Instructions
To protect your high-value return, please follow these steps:
1. Initiate the Return: Contact our support team at Info@italiandiamondhouse.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
2. Insured Return Label: For safety and security, we will generate and email you a pre-paid, fully insured return shipping label. The actual cost of this insured return label will be deducted from your final refund.
3. Secure Packaging: Place the jewellery in its original box, along with the diamond certificate and invoice. Double-box the return (place the jewellery box inside a larger shipping box filled with packing material) to prevent movement.
4. Labeling: Do not write "diamonds," "jewellery," "gold," or "gems" on the outside of the box to prevent theft. Address the package to our corporate name as instructed in your RMA email.
6. Refund Processing Time
Once our quality assurance team receives, inspects, and approves the condition of your return (typically within 5–7 business days of receipt):
- Your refund will be processed back to the original payment method used during checkout.
- Please allow 7 to 10 business days for the refund credit to appear on your bank or credit card statement, depending on your financial institution.
- Original shipping fees and any import duties/taxes paid at checkout are non-refundable.
7. Order Cancellation Policy
- Standard Catalog Orders: Standard catalog orders may be cancelled for a full refund within 24 hours of purchase.
- Custom/Made-to-Order Items: Custom orders can be cancelled for a full refund within 24 hours of purchase. Once the 24-hour window has passed, raw materials (gold and diamonds) are allocated, and crafting begins, making the order ineligible for cancellation.
